While Megan was visiting last week I told her I wanted to change things up a bit but didn't know exactly what to do. So we looked at some country home magazines. The next thing I knew she moved things around a bit and recovered all of my blue pillows with red accents. What do ya think? I love it! Thanks Megan!!!! Love you!
After Megan and Sandy bugging me to blog Megan's visit, here it is-sorry it took so long!
I came home from Bible study Tuesday, Feb. 17 to a huge surprise: Megan, Tiffany, Sophia, and Olivia in our kitchen! Somehow they were able to keep it a secret from just about everyone, with a little help from Megan's friend Jane! Both Terry and I were thrilled beyond words. I told Megan this surprise made the separation fun - though I still don't like the inbetween times! So...here are some of the things we did
To add to the surprise, Amanda came up. She had arranged with Kit and Jenny at work for me to have the day off and we were able to spend the whole day together. We had fun playing at the park and walking on the beach...and watching Olivia walking right into the water!
A visit to Nana's would definitely not be complete without a tea party! The girls came to work to give me the invitation-so cute! As you can see we had a yummy feast and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly!
Game boy, fisher price playhouse, jacks, cooking, and the TENT - we played umpteen games of 'Whosit', hungry hippo, read books, and Tiffany even slept in it! Thanks for such sweet memories, girls!
I made each of the girls blankets: Sophia's is Strawberry Shortcake, Olivia's is Angel Cake, and Tiffany's is Ginger Snap. Finally they were all together to get this picture! I thought I'd go ahead and include the picture of the blankets I made for my greatnieces and nephews too...made for them all with much love!
After an absolutely wonderful week it was time to go home - they sure missed daddy! It was hard saying goodbye but we had such a good time it was ok somehow. Come and surprise us again anytime!!! Love to our girls!
Terry brought me roses and Megan, Jeff and the girls sent me a beautiful bouquet by Lawren. Aren't they gorgeous? I'm so very blessed. Thank you so much my loves.
This past weekend my brother and his wife came up to celebrate our 3 January birthdays. This has become a tradition for 30 years now! We have such a good time relaxing and visiting...and working on jigsaw puzzles. Here is a picture of blueberry scones in my new scone pan. Yummy! Thanks Mark and Sandy!
These bracelets were made from my grandmother's spoons. The first one is with Amanda, then Megan, then Sandy. Aren't they unique and beautiful?
On Saturday Mark, Sandy, Terry and I went for a bike ride on the trail to Avila Beach. It was a perfect day! The weather was so warm we could hardly believe it was January!
